Bangkok, Thailand, 16 June, 2024 – As part of its efforts to push for sustainability in the packaging industry, APP Group (APP) participated in ProPak Asia 2024 to exhibit its line of sustainable packaging products by its eco-friendly brands, Foopak and Enza. From 12 to 15 June 2024, APP was stationed at Stand FY43 in the PackagingSolutionsAsia Industry Zone at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
ProPak Asia 2024, the region’s top international trade event for Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging Technology, received hundred visitors. This provided APP with a valuable opportunity to engage with industry professionals keen on adopting more sustainable product innovations in the food & beverage, agriculture, personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and FMCG industries.
Joining the pivotal conversation surrounding the demand for sustainable packaging products, Ricca Windysari, Region Sales Head of South East Asia, Industrial White, APP Group, carried out a presentation on “Exploring Plastic Packaging Replacement: Shaping the Future of the Food and Beverage Industry”. During this presentation, she delved into the critical need for businesses to invest in sustainable packaging solutions amid the environmental impact of plastic waste by highlighting innovative alternatives such as sustainable paperboard offerings.

APP displayed the full Foopak Bio Natura range of products by Foopak, which consists of recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable plastic-free food packaging solutions created from 100% virgin pulp. To ensure that the Foopak Bio Natura meets with the latest global trend in plastic-free conformity, the paperboard has been certified by Flustix in Germany also home and industrial composting schemes referring to the EN 13432 issued by ISEGA. Aside from its sustainable attributes, Foopak Bio Natura also withstands a wider range of temperatures as it can sustain instant heat exposure after storage in low temperatures. Foopak Bio Natura complies with food safety standards in the USA (FDA), Europe (BfR), and China (GB). Foopak Bio Natura is designed to meets with the PFAS-free compliance meaning no harmful chemicals are used, meaning no harmful chemicals are used. Lastly, we are Halal certified for Islamic religious purposes. Here are the certifications we obtained.
APP also showcased Enza, which includes an array of multi-end-use specialty papers that are sustainable and suitable as lightweight take-away food wrappers, box liners and carry-out bags.
Aside from displaying Foopak and Enza products at the booth, APP also invited a popular coffee enthusiast in Thailand, Mr Narubase Kosonwutthijaroen, to serve coffee mocktails in Foopak Bio Natura cups on the first day of the event. While savouring delicious coffee mocktails crafted by Mr Kosonwutthijaroen onsite, visitors were able to experience the high performance of Foopak Bio Natura when in use.
Aside from coffee mocktails, APP also served hot and cold coffee, croissants, waffles, mango sticky rice, and ice cream in Foopak Bio Natura and Enza food packaging to show the various end applications and premium quality.

In an effort to minimise plastic waste from traditional single-use plastic cups used at large-scale events, APP also provided ProPak Asia’s VIP lounge with 1,000 plastic-free Foopak Bio Natura cups, giving stakeholders an up-close opportunity to experience the premium quality of Foopak Bio Natura.
