With environmental legislation tightening, brands are seeking immediate solutions to replace traditional packaging materials. Many need alternatives to Polyethylene (PE) coatings that not only reduce environmental impact but also maintain performance—keeping food hot, cold, or frozen.
Foopak’s fiber-based solutions offer a cost-effective, compliant alternative to help businesses meet EPR regulations, which may require organizations to cover packaging waste management costs. Since EPR fees are based on packaging weight, and fiber-based packaging is partially exempt in some regions, switching can reduce costs.

Celebrating its 45th year, Natural Products Expo West is the leading trade show for natural and organic food, beverages, health & beauty, and nutraceutical/supplement products. Ranked among the top 100 trade shows in the US, the event welcomed approximately 65,000 attendees and promotes strong environmental packaging messaging. Exhibitors were required to use sustainable containers and utensils, and food samples must be served in recyclable or compostable packaging, aligning with the industry’s sustainability goals.
Foopak Bio Natura on Display at Natural Products Expo West 2025
Foopak is set to showcase its recyclable and compostable packaging solutions at Natural Products Expo West 2025, continuing its commitment to sustainable innovation in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Having previously participated in NPEW 2024, Foopak highlighted its Anchor Plus and Bio Natura solutions, reinforcing its role in advancing eco-friendly packaging.
At the 2025 event, the centerpiece of the exhibit was once again Foopak Bio Natura, a fiber-based food and beverage packaging solution made from 100% virgin pulp. It offers alternative material solutions for brands looking to reduce their environmental impact, with applications including cereal bowls, butterfly cups, and coffee cups.
In addition to Foopak Bio Natura, the exhibit featured a range of sustainable packaging solutions for quick-service restaurants, frozen food, and retail packaging, including APP’s Enza flexible paper products for PFAS-free takeaway bags, sandwich wraps, and burger wraps.
